GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 634807
Self created categories don't show on the category list of the contact card
Last modified: 2011-01-20 12:07:03 UTC
Expected behaviour: 1. I open a contact card... 2. ...and add a new category from there 3. Next time when I open the category list from the contact card, the category I just added is shown there What happens: 1. I open a contact card... 2. ...and add a new category from there 3. Next time when I open the category list from the contact card, the category I just added is NOT shown there ...... At present there are two category lists with different content in Evolution Contacts: the one that's available as a drop down list on the main Contacts window, and the one that's available on a contact card through clicking the "Categories..." button. The first list contains all categories: the default ones and those created by the user. The second list contains only the default categories. The second list is a problem, because that's the list which is used for assigning categories for new contacts. If the user want's to add a self created category to a contact, he has to write it by hand, even if the category already exists. It can't be selected from the list, because it's not there. Thanks

OK, thanks. The style of the other bug report is so technical, that I'm not able to tell that it's about the same bug as mine.
