Description komputes 2010-10-12 19:23:23 UTC
evolution stores account information in ~/.gconf instead of ~/.evolution

usecases:
-backing up ~/.evolution and restoring it is not seamless as all account info must be re-entered
-resetting gconf to default by removing ~/.gconf (for resetting preferences, nautilus, panel to defaults) removes all account information for email

Evolution has plans to change this moving account info to ~/.evolution (most likely for Evolution 3.2, next March). This bug is basically open to state the issue that if only backing up .evolution, no account information will be saved.
