Description my.somewhat.lengthy.loginname 2010-10-02 18:18:12 UTC
Different from gtk+ 2.20.1, gtk+ 2.22.0 does not come with the stock icons "go-back" and "go-forward." As a result, Mozilla Firefox 3.6.10 crashes on startup:

root [~] firefox

(firefox-bin:1662): Gtk-WARNING **: Error loading theme icon 'gtk-go-back-ltr' for stock: Icon 'gtk-go-back-ltr' not present in theme
Segmentation fault

I have no icon theme set. Other gtk+ programs that do not use these icons work as usual (e.g., epdfview, galculator, leafpad).

A workaround for me is to manually copy the icons "gtk-go-back-ltr.png" and "gtk-go-forward-ltr.png" from the gtk+ 2.20.1 source tarball into /usr/share/icons/hicolor/24x24/stock/navigation. Afterwards, Firefox works again.
