Configure the desktop to have one viewport.
Go into GNOME Control center and add 4 workspaces.

Chris: does it ever update? Or do you have to restart for the update
to occur?
Comment 2 Chris Lyttle 2002-02-13 18:04:05 UTC
Luis: I you restart X it updates. I assume that just restarting Desk
Guide would have the same effect.
Comment 3 Kjartan Maraas 2002-10-12 13:13:48 UTC
Does this work correctly in 2.0.x?
Comment 4 matheng10 2002-12-18 20:23:46 UTC
Same here on 1.4.1:
if I remove some workspace the applet does not update...
Killing the app or X doesn't help...
Comment 5 Luis Villa 2003-02-09 02:42:29 UTC
Because of the release of GNOME 2.0 and 2.2, and the lack of interest in
maintainership of GNOME 1.4, the gnome-core product is being closed. If y0u feel
your bug is still of relevance to GNOME 2, please reopen it and refile it
against a more appropriate component. Thanks...
