Description Baptiste Mille-Mathias 2010-08-05 07:04:56 UTC
1/ I opened evince
2/ open the file choose to choose a file
3/ I set an URL in the location (http://people.fedoraproject.org/~hadess/talks/geoclue.pdf)
4/ pressing «Open» does nothing.

in a terminal "evince $URL" works though.

I can confirm this with Ubuntu 10.10 and GTK+ 2.20 (recent update). This is also reproducable with every other application that uses the GTK Filechooser. Once you enter an URL for example http://www.whatever.com/index.html (e.g. in an editor) the "Open" button won't work.

The expected behavior should be that the file should be read and opened.

Looks like a GTK+ issue.
