unable to start gnome-shell because of the following error.

$ /d2/gnome-shell/source/gnome-shell/src/gnome-shell --replace
Starting dconf-service... /d2/gnome-shell/install/libexec/dconf-service: symbol lookup error: /d2/gnome-shell/install/libexec/dconf-service: undefined symbol: g_bus_own_name
 
Failed to start /d2/gnome-shell/install/libexec/dconf-service: timed out
