Description biig_kingg 2010-06-13 11:50:44 UTC
hello..
So when this Power status program is running, and I'm charging my Netbook, there would be no problems.
But as soon as I unplug the charger from my Netbook, It tells me that the power is too low and the Netbook is about to suspend! Although the power is 100%!
The problem is not in the battery status, your program forces the Netbook to suspend whenever I unplug the charger.
thanks for reading, and please fix it soon! :)

I have the same problem. I have a brand new, perfectly functioning eMachines 350 netbook. It came with Windows XP Home, which worked fine with the internal battery. I've also tried it with Windows 7, which was also fine with the internal battery. However, I prefer Ubuntu Netbook Edition (currently fully-patched lucid 10.04) and there is an issue where gnome-power-manager is occasionally misreading the battery state as 1% charge remaining when in fact it's usually fairly full. If I can QUICKLY plug in the power adaptor, then it usually goes away and realises it's true charge level again. This is an intermittent problem that has no steps to guarantee recreation, however it is really annoying when my computer suddenly hibernates due to wrongly perceived low power levels without warning!

Yup! that is the same problem I have!
I actually uninstalled that battery manager thing, and I tried to search for another battery managers, but this is the only one working!
however, when I got the Avant Window Navigator, it comes with a battery status widget, and gives me a notification when the battery goes low!
The only problem is, it doesn't control or order the computer in respect to the battery status! like suspending it or hibernating the computer!
But at least it gives u a notification! =)
