GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 619949
Atrributes in oowriter are not being presented.
Last modified: 2010-09-20 10:53:47 UTC
As brought up by Michael Whappels on mailing list: "this is some bold and underlined text." select word bold, and make it bold. select from bold to end of line, and make it single underline. Using braille display we can not notice any attributes, despite the relevant text attributes are selected in the orca prefs. I can reproduce this. Thanks.
Confirmed. Some history: In earlier versions of OOo, we got the wrong ending offset when asking for text attributes. It was reliably one greater than it should be. So we decremented the value of the end offset by one. The OOo guys have since fixed that. The consequence of that for us is that it prevented us from working our way to the end of the displayed text. The fix is to remove the offset hack decrement. Done. I am now seeing the these attributes indicated in braille as expected. http://git.gnome.org/browse/orca/commit/?id=85987b063038563ad4bed4a42da0c04c9303be22
