Description Gavin S 2010-05-17 05:57:23 UTC
Found openhatch.org and started looking for something to do. So I found gconf-dbus and ran the egrep command from http://live.gnome.org/GnomeGoals/RemoveDeprecatedSymbols/Glib on it and then went through and fixed what popped up. I got it to compile with the -DG_DISABLE_DEPRECATED flag and now I'm wondering where to go.

Also - when I ran the egrep command it found some of the dep funcs in the .svn directory, I assume I can ignore those.

Thanks

This is my first shot at this. Let me know how I did.

I have no idea what codebase this is about and what this patch is created against.

Looks like it might be for GConf instead of gconf-editor and might be a years-old checkout from svn instead of git. Can't find any of the places for the first changes in the current codebase and gave up to check the rest.

Gavin, please clarify.

Gavin, Ping.

Cosimo, does the patch make sense to you?

This doesn't seem neither a patch against gconf-editor, nor one against the upstream GConf, so there's really nothing we could do here.
It might be a patch against gconf-dbus [1] instead, which would make this NOTGNOME.

Thank. Closing as NOTGNOME as per comment #5. Gavin, please raise your issue upstream.
