In Ubuntu Syanide reported:

Exaile doesn't get recognized by Nautilus when used as the only music player on the system.

Upon connecting an mp3 player, a flash drive with music, or a CD with ogg/mp3 files, Nautilus usually pops up a window with a predefined action (default one being it asking you if you want to play them with the music player).

With Exaile, this only works with Audio CDs, but it is impossible to set it as the music player.

Attached a screenshot further explaining the situation.

This is an exaile bug, which should register itself as capable for handling the relevant x-content/* MIME entries in its desktop file.

As Exaile tracks its bug on Launchpad, I'll close this as NOTGNOME.
