GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 617404
Korean characters not being parsed correctly
Last modified: 2010-05-02 01:16:51 UTC
It seems that Korean Unicode characters aren't parsed correctly. This is apparent in the following cases: 1) The results aren't filtered when using the Search form to filter on Korean Unicode characters. 2) If the Album Title tag of a sound file contains *only* Korean Unicode characters, and Banshee has found the cover art for that song, the same cover art is used for all songs with an Album Title tag consisting of only Korean Unicode characters. The above problems don't appear to happen with Chinese or Japanese Unicode characters. Below is a list of Korean album titles that you can test with: - 널 사랑하나봐 - 동화 - 쇼윈도에 걸린 스카프 - 이선희
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. I've fixed Mono, and committed my patch to the 2-4 and 2-6 branches (and of course HEAD), so it'll be in the next release of those. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 605389 ***
Thank you very much Gabriel!
