GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 616163
expanding symlinks
Last modified: 2010-04-19 11:52:01 UTC
when reloading the saved state of terminals, the WorkingDirectory is being expanded if its a symlink. For instance if a saved config file has: WorkingDirectory=/foo and foo = /usr/local/foo then the terminal opens up with /usr/local/foo rather than /foo This is very annoying for long paths if the prompt and terminal title show the path. Please preserve the symlink.
That's impossible. See bug 502146 "issue C". *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 502146 ***
