I use empathy for every chat protocol I have, for simplicity's sake, including irc. After implementation of chat from notifications, everything said in my active irc windows pops up. This is incredibly distracting.

Can't reproduce this after some minutes. kindly disregard until I can surmise the situation that causes this.

I can confirm this. Everything that happens in any of my IRC rooms leads to a notification. For me it always happens, contrary to Fernando.

This has been working completely reliably. No chatroom instances popping up. I reverted today and the irc popup notifications came back. Commit this soon! :)
