I'm running UFraw 0.17 and Gimp 2.6.8 under Linux.

When using UFraw in standalone mode and saving to a JPG or TIF file, a bunch of EXIF data gets carried over.

When I open the resulting TIF file in Gimp, I get the following error message:

"/home/gore/Desktop/GORE6098.tif: invalid TIFF directory; tags are not sorted in ascending order
Message repeated once."

All my EXIF data gets lost. This does not happen when I save to a JPG file and then try to open that JPG file in Gimp. I am unsure if this is an issue with UFraw or Gimp. Opening up the TIF file in other applications does not give me the same issue.

Here's an example TIF file generated by UFraw that loses all its EXIF data once it's opened in Gimp.

The TIFF import plug-in doesn't support Exif data.
