Description Geert Janssens 2010-02-22 16:38:32 UTC
Currently, the sql backend stores the access credentials for the database in gconf. This is however a plain text file, which makes the password readable for anyone.

Instead, if GnuCash wished to store the password, it should store it in the gnome-keyring.

Note: I've made this an enhancement request to start with, but as a security issue, it might rather be a bug.
