Description jason.smoliak 2010-01-30 20:12:10 UTC
In many popular media players, specifically THE two most popular iTunes and WMP, the left/right arrow keys control the 'Previous Song' and 'Next Song' menu items. This is not the case in Banshee, and while that's okay, there should be a way to accomplish this.

While Bug 535924 isn't requesting exactly the same behavior, it is similar enough that discussion should probably continue there. That bug report is requesting ctrl-left and ctrl-right to skip tracks, but I'd agree with you, Jason, that simply using the left/right arrows would be preferable.

Thanks for the bug report. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but please feel free to report any further bugs you find.

From my point of view bug 535924 is not a duplicate of this bug.

bug 535924 is about skipping *within a track*, a few sec or minutes ahead or backward withing a track, not from track to track as this bug report suggest.
