4 shots of the same gnome-terminal

When opening the first new tab, the two last lines of the first window disappear.

Also, when removing the last tab, the tab bar disappears (as expected) and the window size decreases (unexpected).

I think this is a single bug but I may be wrong.

In the attached screenshot, there are 4 shots of the same gnome-terminal. Between the first and the second shot, I just created a new tab (with Ctrl-Shift-T). Between each other one, I closed the second window (with Ctrl-D) and created a new tab (with Ctrl-Shift-T). We see the two effects of this bug.

Version 2.22 is unsupported; please upgrade to the latest version.
