GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 606870
GCD: unnecessary Excel incompatibility
Last modified: 2010-01-13 17:12:55 UTC
In Excel 2007 (and OOo) GCD(2,0) is 2. This makes mathematical sense since 2 is the largest integer that is a divisor of both 0 and 2. Gnumeric on the other hand yields #NUM!. Note that Excel 2007 (and OOo) yield 0 for gcd(0,0). That is of course mathematical nonsense and we should not try to copy them there.
Sounds reasonable. Will fix.
This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
