When I select "Filters" > "Enhance" the "NL Filter" option is greyed out and not selectable. I cannot find any instructions for how to activate it. I'm running Ubuntu 9.04.

Hi! Try Image -> Mode -> RGB and please stop using our bug tracker as a help forum. Try the gimp-user mailing list instead. Thanks!
