Description Martin Mai 2009-12-26 10:40:42 UTC
Originally reported at https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/387854:

All other Nautilus instances "freeze" when user interaction in one instance is needed.

For example I have two windows/instances of Nautilus. In one of them I want to delete (not move to trash) a file or folder. Then nautilus asks me whether I really want to do this (Messagebox). Now I change the focus to the second nautilus window. There I want to go to another folder but this is not possible because nautilus is waiting for my answer to the question in the first window. So the second Nautilus window "freeze"!

Working in two or more windows of Nautilus at the same time is important for me. For example I want to check whether the file is in one folder before I delete the duplicate of the file in another folder.
