It would be useful to have bigger thumbnails, icon view mode (like in Nautilus) and sorting by name, date modified, etc.
It makes it difficult for one to know what is uploading in a forum or imageboard.

I have to agree.  This is a big usability issue, and it's disappointing that it hasn't been fixed yet.
