GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 605176
nntp: delisted newsgroups cant be unsubscribed
Last modified: 2011-01-03 01:37:35 UTC
The folder subscription dialogue does not list all subscribed folders. Instead it lists the folders that are listed as subscribable by the server. So if you subscribe to a newsgroup and this group is being delisted on the server then it will stay in your newsgroup list forever as a zombie because the subscription dialogue will not list it and therefor it is impossible uncheck its subscription status. This adds one up to the impressive number of unfortunate UI glitches in the subscription dialogue.
Does deleting or unsubscribe options while you right click on folder doesn't work ? an you please check again whether this issue still happens in Evolution 2.32.0 and update this report by adding a comment and changing the "Version" field? Thanks a lot.
At least in versions up to (and including) 2.28 there is no unsubscribe option in the right click context menu. Folder deletion is disabled (ghosted out) in the context menu for all nntp folders. > an you please check again whether this issue still happens in > Evolution 2.32.0 and update this report by adding a comment and > changing the "Version" field? Thanks a lot. As soon as 2.32 arrives on my computer, I'll do so.
Yes it's not there 2.28, but we have stopped supporting 2.28 please update to our latest stable version. Thanks
I am using the latest stable version of my Distro (Ubuntu 10.04). This includes evolution 2.28. Please understand that while I am glad to help improving software by occasionally reporting bugs, I can not spare the amount of extra time needed to recompile all the latest cutting edge stuff just to save the developers two minutes for starting up their software which they readily have availabe and look at a context menu to verify my report. Thank you for your understanding, I'll get back to you as soon as any later version arrives in my package manager.
any news for this report?
