I just gave the latest git build a try and found the app well to only show tree launchers in one line now and there is huge unused space to the left and right of the well. My screen size is 1280x1024. In gnome-shell 2.28 four launchers were displayed in a row.

The unused space looks bad and I'm sure a fourth launcher would fit into this space, which would be quite useful as a 3x4 grid is too small imho.
