The screenshot shows the folders I am talking about.

I am using Evolution 2.28.1 on Ubuntu 9.10 64bit. When I am not running synergy-plus Evolution works fine. I have two displays on synergy plus server and the third via synergy.

When I am running synergy plus server (synergys) I can't open/close folders in tree view in sidebar. There are triangles displayed in front of text for folder which have subfolders. These triangles act normally on mouseover event when synergys is not running. They don't react to mouseover any more when I run synergys. After that I have problems with opening/closing folder in tree view. The only reliable way is to press +/- on the keyboard.

Folders with subfolders should be reacting also to double clicks the same way as with opening/closing.

I thought this was synergy plus bug but in Nautilus the same control works regardless whether synergys is running or not.

I have no idea what synergy is.

--> NEEDINFO.
Comment 2 Marko Hrastovec 2009-12-07 14:46:52 UTC
Synergy is an application for sharing mouse and keyboard between computers.

If you have more than computer on your desk each with its own display you can use only one mouse and keyboard which is shared among computers via network.

Sorry, but these are NOT the same controls, even if they may look the same...

OK.

Then we can't be sure whether it is TreeView control or synergy bug.

Can we at least add double click event for opening/closing to some wish list for Evolution?

+1 for this bug. I have this problem on two different machines and it's reproducable.
Comment 6 Matthew Ames 2010-05-11 10:23:47 UTC
I am also affected by this bug. A work around is to press shift+left or right to open and close the folders, but I feel that this shouldn't happen. There's been no movement on this bug for over 2 years, are we going to see any now?
Comment 7 André Klapper 2010-05-11 11:15:32 UTC
Did anybody contact the synergys developers about this? Is there a bug report on their tracker?
Comment 8 Marko Hrastovec 2010-05-11 11:59:07 UTC
I have reported it to synergy bug list too.

Thanks for the advice to use shift-left or right!!

Are you sure that synergy is involved?
I do not use synergy: Looking at synaptic I find that the synergy-package is not even installed on my computer.

I changed to ubuntu 10.04 very early hoping for a fix. Today with evolution 2.28.3 an all the system up to date the problem still appears.

This is a GTK+ bug.
