Description Shaun McCance 2009-11-19 05:28:45 UTC
1. Shade a window.
2. Switch to another workspace.
3. Return to previous workspace.

Any shaded windows are invisible ("minimized", I suppose, if that term is still appropriate in a no-window-list world). They're not gone. You can still get them from the workspace overview or from Alt+Tab. But they're not visible as a shaded window anymore.

theme: Shaded windows should have no invisible borders

Shaded windows aren't resizable, so they gain no benefits from
invisible borders.

Simple fix, planted on top of the bug in 659854.

Er, this doesn't fix the cause of the bug, just an extra thing I noticed: You can click on the invisible portions of a shaded window, even though you can't resize them. I probably should have filed it as a separate bug.

Superseded by the fix in bug 659854

I am also experiencing the same behavior. Though I've yet to test it, I don't believe the patch in #659854 will resolve this issue. The titlebar for any shaded windows is in-fact hidden upon changing workspaces.

See comment #9; this issue is way older than invisible borders, so not related.

Retested this after fixing bug 746145, and shaded windows behave as expected with regard to workspace switches now. So I'll close this as obsolete, please reopen if you can reproduce with 3.16
