Description Brian J. Murrell 2009-11-17 13:42:27 UTC
A lot of applications in gnome 2.28 seem to be whining about:

** (evolution:12165): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed

quite copiously even.

The above example is evolution, but this problem is most certainly not limited to evolution.

What's the cause and solution?

That's not a bug in ATK but in GtkToolItem and fixed already even. See bug 599446.
