GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 600297
Cannot bootstrap source without gconf installed
Last modified: 2009-11-01 11:02:24 UTC
configure.ac inherits gconf-2.m4; and the unconditional dep on gconf was OK till a --disable-gnome option was added to disable gconf support. Solution: include gconf-2.m4 in m4/
No. Just install the gconf -dev package. This is only a dependency when building from git; building from tarballs works just fine without gconf macros. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 595353 ***
