GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 597660
User excluded in face browser now visible after upgrade to 2.28
Last modified: 2009-10-07 18:56:24 UTC
I have just upgraded my system from Ubuntu 9.04 to 9.10beta using "update-manager -d" and a user which was specifically excluded from the face browser is now visible in the list of users which can login. Just in case more details are needed, there are 5 users in total (including the excluded one). This is using a dual-Core Atom system with Intel standard graphics, 2GB RAM, 320GB HDD.
GDM 2.20.10 and earlier had the ability to configure which users appear or don't appear in the Face Browser. GDM has since been rewritten and this feature lost. There is currently work going on to add this feature back. Refer to bug #593996 and #557553. I think we will likely go with a solution like described in #593996. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 593996 ***
