Nautilus crashes when trying to launch preferences

Overview: simply when I'm trying to launch preferences from Edit -> Preferences Nautilus "disabling" Desktop area --- Home Directory, Trash shortcuts and Nautilus window disappear and Desktop area do not accept any action from mouse; but I can open new windows, even Nautilus from Places in Menu and i. e. browse www (Desktop still inactive); dmesg: segfault at 8 ip 000000000043c794 sp 00007fff749a36e0 error 4 in nautilus[400000+1b2000] ----------------------------------------------------------------------- Steps to Reproduce: Edit -> Preferences in Nautilus window (i wanted to switch to browser view, this is how I discovered this); ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Actual Results: crash with segfault; ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Expected Results: Preferences window should appear; ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Build Date & Platform: nautilus --version GNOME nautilus 2.26.3 uname -a Linux feynman 2.6.30-1-amd64 #1 SMP Sat Aug 15 18:09:19 UTC 2009 x86_64 GNU/Linux cat /etc/debian_version squeeze/sid (I'm using squeeze) gnome-core 1:2.26+0 gnome-desktop-data 2.26.1-1 libnautilus-extension1 2.26.3-1 nautilus 2.26.3-1 nautilus-data 2.26.3-1
Thanks for taking the time to report this bug. This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed.
