Description Nicolas Mailhot 2009-09-14 06:03:18 UTC
gnome-font-viewer displays the name and style embedded in a font file without checking if the system fontconfig rules rewrite it (ie it behaves like fc-query but should behave like fc-scan). This is not useful to users since once installed the font will be accessed via fontconfig and apps will see the rewritten name.

gnome-font-viewer should be changed to match fc-scan behaviour

-> gnome-utils

gnome-font-viewer has now moved to gnome-utils, reassigning.

I believe this is fixed now in git.
