GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 592792
Colon (":") in Print to File file name gives "The specified location is not supported"
Last modified: 2018-03-13 12:40:01 UTC
Created attachment 141487 [details] shot1.png - Print to File dialog I use gedit as the example application. In firefox the problem is worse as it neither prints nor gives an error message. When trying to use a filename (local ext3 disk) that contains one or more colons in Print to File (see shot1.png), a dialog pops up, telling you "The specified location is not supported" (see shot2.png). Colons in filenames are supported on ext3 and most other linux/unix filesystems, so we should be able to use them in Print to File filenames.
Created attachment 141488 [details] shot2.png - error message PS: This is on Ubuntu Jaunty, Gnome 2.26.1
