Description David 2009-08-18 09:26:58 UTC
I created the postgres database. I opened my file-based GnuCash accounts. I saved it as ... to the postgres database.
OK. I can open it again from the database. Great! It is (will be) really good feature. Let us close GnuCash.

But if I drop the database now, GnuCash crashes on startup.
It does not provide an "Open" dialog so as I can select my file-based accounts againg. It just crashes. And I can not repair GnuCash other way than reinstaling it.

It appears that the lastly open dataset must be available when opening GnuCash, but it is not always satisfied.

With 2.3.4, if I drop the database, I get a dialog box stating that the db does not exist, asking if I want to create it. If I press "yes", it creates it. If I press "no", gnucash comes up with no file, allowing me to create a new one or open an existing one. Please try again with 2.3.4. Note: I tried on linux with a local database.

It is the same as I reported in 2.3.4. (r18266)on Windows with a remote database postgresql (haven't tested with a local database).

2.3.4. still crashes after moving the lastly open datasource.
