With the old bugzilla installation you could open a bug by its id without having to open the main page by opening http://bugzilla.gnome.org/12345 (12345 being an example bug#).

It would be really nice if this could come back.

Owen Taylor broke this with some custom hack to see patch statuses. Disabled the hack.
