Description Bill Nottingham 2009-08-13 15:51:53 UTC
I start gnome-shell (gnome-shell --replace).

In the sidebar, I have app launchers for firefox, evolution, and OO.o. I assume this is some sort of system default.

I go into the 'Activities' menu, and see the same three apps in 'Applications'. So, OK, I drag the icons from the big menu to this applications menu that I want to have launchers for, assuming it will update the sidebar.

It does not. If there's an 'expected' way to edit this, it's not obvious.

This is likely fixed by commit:

commit 43d737c663dbea43bd558189fe43b65f90b70bae

Ensure dash is raised over workspaces

Having the workspace actor on top of the dash broke drag and drop.

However, we still need a context menu for the apps. Retitling this bug.
