Description Chris 2009-08-12 05:43:27 UTC
I recently stumbled onto the Internet Connection Sharing feature of NetworkManager ("Shared to other computers") and it worked pretty okay. But it doesn't seem to support UPnP port-forwarding for systems on the shared connection. (My xbox 360 reported that there was a "moderate NAT", the error it reports when it can't forward it's ports, restricting who it can connect to.)

NetworkManager seems to be aiming for everything to "Just work", and I figure this would majorly increase it's usefulness if it could forward ports to client systems automatically.

bugzilla.gnome.org is being shut down in favor of a GitLab instance.
We are closing all old bug reports and feature requests in GNOME Bugzilla which have not seen updates for a long time.

If you still use NetworkManager and if you still see this bug / want this feature in a recent and supported version of NetworkManager, then please feel free to report it at https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/NetworkManager/NetworkManager/-/issues/

Thank you for creating this report and we are sorry it could not be implemented (workforce and time is unfortunately limited).
