Description Victor Vargas 2009-07-30 15:53:03 UTC
To choose an emblem for a file or directory in Nautilus one have to

1. Click the object (open context menu)
2. Choose the preferences dialog
3. Switch to "Emblems"
4. Scroll the collection
5. Select the emblem(s)
6. Click on "Close"

That seems awfully complex for a very useful and common operation like defining an emblem.

It would be my suggestion to additionally integrate a "set emblem" entry into the context menu, containing three recently used emblems which can be set with one click and perhaps an entry "more..." which opens the emblem dialog, mentioned above.

This could be combined with a shortcut to set the latest set emblem to a(nother) file.

'Backgrounds and Emblems' have now been removed from nautilus master, see [1]. Closing this as OBSOLETE.
