Please describe the problem:
CD playback is choppy in Rhythmbox 0.12.0 in Ubuntu Jaunty. I have also had this problem in Ubuntu Karmic on the same machine.

I have tried multiple CDs, and even ones that were burned in the same drive and never left it before playback, and still Rhythmbox plays it as though it were scratched up. It plays for 30 seconds smoothly, then stops playback as it buffers.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Insert a CD
2. Play it with Rhythmbox


Actual results:
CD playback isn't smooth.

Expected results:
CD playback should be smooth.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Other information:
I am using kernel 2.6.28.

Thanks for taking the time to report this bug.
This particular bug has already been reported into our bug tracking system, but we are happy to tell you that the problem has already been fixed. It should be solved in the next software version. You may want to check for a software upgrade.
