Description Milan Crha 2009-07-17 10:15:56 UTC
(A follow-up for bug #583374)

When using google source with CalDAV, then the alarm notification can be also an email notification. Let it allow there. There seems to be also a possibility for an SMS notification, though this one is not supported in evo at all.

In Google Cal I have a default alert set to SMS me. With my crummy old phone this is a very very useful service.

Unfortunately with the old backend, no alert was set in events created with Evo even though I had this default in the web interface. So I had to go through the web interface to create events instead of using the desktop integration courtesy of Evo.

Please don’t make me buy a fancy smartphone, my old one works fine and I don’t want to embiggen this pile: http://www.chrisjordan.com/image_detail.php?id=&arch_id=1

Bug #517660 is my old bug about this. You can dupe it.

Thanks for the pointer, I will use your bug for the SMS alarm specifically, and this one to enable email notification on Google by CalDAV. I guess it should work fine, as it does for me with default popup alarms, only those will not be visible in evo UI. It's question for a test.
