Please describe the problem:
Banshee 1.4.3 (+1.5.0) doesn't play last.fm streams.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Play a Last.fm channel.

Actual results:
Fail to play the stream.

Expected results:
Play the stream.

Does this happen every time?
Yes.

Could be a dupe of bug 541227 if Last.fm finally shut down the old radio API.

Rhythmbox is still working. And as far as I can see the last.fm plugin for it is from 2006 (or at least it's copyrighted until 2006). When did the release the new API?

Well I guess it's a dupe then. Someone called russ from irc://irc.audioscrobbler.com/#audioscrobbler has confirmed that the old API (which wasn't supported for outside use anyway) has been shutdown around yesterday!
