Please describe the problem:
Like other programs when i minimize the GIMP the main window minimizes but still the toolbox, layer box and other boxes appear. Why? It is unbearable and always on top of my desktop(the toolbox and layer box).

Hi! This is a known problem, and it works particularly bad on Windows. On Linux with metacity it works better. Anyway, this is essentially a duplicate of bug #322577, closing as such.
