GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 587536
Unknown "Year" tag field as "0" in filenames
Last modified: 2009-07-01 21:33:18 UTC
I have set to rename files and folders when adding them to the collection, and the naming scheme is "Artist/Album (year)". Now when the year is unknown (it shows as "0" in the tag editor), the "(0)" is always being added to the album folder names. I think it is unnecessary and must be avoided, because "Some Album Name (0)" makes no sense for a human. The same is for the file names: "00. Track Title.mp3", "00. Another Track Title.mp3", "00. Some Other Track Title.mp3" could be stored without zeros as it doesn't affect their alignment by name in a file manager window. Thank you.
If I understood correctly, I think the two issues would be addressed by the patch in bug #489861, which adds optional tokens in the naming scheme. So I'm marking this as a duplicate. Feel free to comment if I'm mistaken. *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of 489861 ***
