GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 587349
From-Header is mispelled under certain conditions
Last modified: 2012-01-26 11:23:25 UTC
Please describe the problem: The From-header is From: example.com Test <test@example.com> The UI shows: From: example.comT <est test@example.com> If you hit the reply-button, the address "est test@example.com" will be used by the UI. The source of the mail (CTRL+u) shows the correct line. This happens if there is a name given with a "." in the from-header. Steps to reproduce: 1. telnet to your mailserver on port 25 to send a mail 2. after the "data"-command, enter From: example.com Test <test@example.com> 3. receive the mail with evolution Actual results: The UI shows "From: example.comT <est test@example.com>" If you hit the reply-button, the ui tries to send the mail to "est test@example.com" If you hit "CTRL+u" you see the correct line in the mail-source. Expected results: The mail should be send to "test@example.com" Does this happen every time? Yes. Other information: I have tried several versions of evolution (debian-package) this is reproductible everywhere. Now I am using Evolution 2.22.3.1; Debian lenny/stable.
2.22 is obsolete and not supported anymore. Can you attach an example message (remove any confidential data before) here so this can be tested with 2.26?
