GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 586980
We should be able to choose the font for chat windows
Last modified: 2018-05-22 13:34:30 UTC
I hope this is a chat request and not a preference one. Chatting is not the same that writing code or reading the title of a tab. We should be able to choose the font for the chat windows in the preferences. My system is setup for using small font for application, but I allways use bigger fonts in chat windows. Cheers, Olivier.
this is a duplicate of bug606417

unfortunately for me, it is a necessity. I can't read too well small fonts on screen. Font configuration (size, type) is a standard on all the GUI of the applications. I end up very near of the screen to converse. thanks

I reckon this as a necessity for me, too. I cannot read fonts which are smaller than 10 points.

In GNOME 3.0, Empathy doesn't even seem to respect the document_font_name or font_name size I set (/desktop/gnome/interface). Text is way larger than I'm comfortable with now. Is there any way to modify font size in Empathy now?
It's in dconf now: document-font-name on org.gnome.desktop.interface.
that's very useful for LXDE, XCFE DE users. alternative?
Could it be possible for the font just to follow all the other fonts size on the system? I know empathy uses themes and maybe you can change the size of the font within the theme, but that's the only GTK application on my system which doesn't follow the default font size from GTK, or doesn't allow to override it...
