Description rom 2009-06-13 20:27:59 UTC
Please describe the problem:
In View → Subtitles, we can choose the subtitles language in a mkv which contains several ones.

But changing the language selected doesn't change anything, it always use the first one (english).

The same file works fine with VLC, and I can choose the subtitles language.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Play a mkv with several subtitles tracks
2. Change the subtitles language

Actual results:
It has no effect

Expected results:
The subtitles language should be changed

Does this happen every time?
yes

$ gst-launch-0.10 playbin uri="file:///home/data/Documents/Movie%20Samples/Matrix.Reloaded.Trailer-640x346-XviD-1.0beta2-HE_AAC_subtitled.mkv" current-text="4"

this will show arabic. Using playbin2 will show Spanish (unless "Hola amigos" is so universal that it's English :)

This is with gstreamer-plugins-base-0.10.23-1.fc11.x86_64

I can't reproduce this with totem 2.28 and gst-plugins-base GIT. Especially switching the subtitle stream should make the current subtitles disappear immediately and new subtitles from the select stream appear short after.

Works fine here as well.
