GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 583772
Specify folder in "Downloading new messages for offline mode"
Last modified: 2014-10-24 12:34:04 UTC
When downloading new messages for a folder marked as "Copy contents locally for offline operation", Evolution shows a message "Downloading new messages for offline mode" in the status bar, along with the current message and total messages. However, it does not specify the folder, making this display highly ambiguous and unhelpful when downloading many such folders. Please consider showing the folder name in this message. What is the advantage of showing it?
Better progress indication. Right now, if Evolution needs to sync many folders, it will give progress indications for each folder, but no indication of which folder the progress applies to. Seeing Evolution progress through the various folders it needs to sync, as well as knowing the progress through the current folder, helps give a better idea of Evolution's overall progress.
I agree. I'm now seeing two progres indicators, one is saying %45 and other saying %53, I don't know which one to believe, but probably they are for different folders (or maybe the GAL?). I would say: - Either give progress indicator stating the folder or - give a single but total progress indicator Evolution built from master on 10/06/2014, using EWS for account.
