Description freggy1 2009-05-24 14:25:41 UTC
When I play an audio cd with Rhythmbox or sound-juicer with gstreamer-cdparanoia installed, the audio skips about every 15 seconds, making it impossible to enjoy listening to the music.

When I uninstall gstreamer-cdparanoia, the audio cd plays without any hick-up. I guess it is using the installed cdparanoia-cdio then.

This is on Mandriva 2009.1 x86_64 with 2.6.29.3 based kernel on a Dell Latitude E6400 system, with these packages:

We added a queue after cdparanoia in git playbin2, which will be in 0.10.24 of gst-plugins-base.

When I uninstall gstreamer-cdparanoia, the audio cd plays without any hick-up.

Having the same problem using KPLayer (Mandriva 2009.1/KDE4.2.4), I tried uninstalling gstreamer0.10-cdparanoia, but although the CD still played, the silent gap still occurred at each disc access.
