Description mannheim89 2009-05-20 12:48:49 UTC
If I enter "Bartok" in the search field, banshee will not list all the tracks whose artist or composer is "Bartók". This is because the "ó" has an accent.

It would be useful if search worked as it does in some other gnome applications (for example, evince), by masking the difference between accented and non-accented characters. On a US keyboard, without special setup, accented characters are effectively impossible to type. A search for "Bart" is likely to turn up unwanted stuff; so there's no way to search for "Bartók" (just one example).
