GNOME Bugzilla – Bug 583013
[blocked] Ekiga's "neighbors" not presented correctly
Last modified: 2013-01-07 01:37:04 UTC
Steps to reproduce: 1. Launch Ekiga. 2. Arrow down to the "neighbors" node of the contact list. 3. Arrow amongst the listed "neighbors" Expected results: Orca would present the "neighbors" correctly. Actual results: Orca seems to repeat "Local roster" I will investigate this further. But it can be reproduced at least in OpenSolaris build 111a with Ekiga 3.0.1 and Orca from git master.
Since I'm looking at Ekiga anyway.... :-) Assigning to myself with a target of 2.27.2. My gut suspects an underlying Ekiga bug that we may not be able to hack around, but we shall see....
Just some notes to self before I forget: 1. Something strange is going on with the accessible table hierarchy. 2. If you collapse the Services node, suddenly the items in the Neighbors node work as expected, BUT: 3. Having collapsed the Services node, at least on one of my boxes (OpenSolaris 111a, Ekiga 3.0.1), I cannot get it back. I do not know where it went. This is visually, mind you, and without Orca running. It's just gone.... :-) This is starting to feel like the Empathy contact list bug (bug 545282). :-( Still investigating, however....
We're blocked by a broken accessible table interface. See bug #583597. When that bug is fixed, Orca should automatically start doing the correct thing. I'll leave this bug open as a tracking bug. Retargeting for FUTURE since there's nothing we can do within Orca to fix this.
Another ancient tracking bug cluttering up Orca's buglist.... *** This bug has been marked as a duplicate of bug 583597 ***
