For the file I will be attaching, select cell B2 and open the format dialog:

(gnumeric:7682): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_entry_set_text: assertion `text != NULL' failed

(Note that I am running a _very_ new gtk+)

Also on Ubuntu 8.04 / gtk 2.12.9, which isn't new at all.

This problem has been fixed in the development version. The fix will be available in the next major software release. Thank you for your bug report.
