Description poelzi 2009-05-15 23:46:14 UTC
it would be nice if it would be possible to set the fore- and background of a match, as well as the possibility that the match is always highlighted.

the kde4 konsole has very good search facilities as well as the support for highlight all matches of a search (red background) making search results in the terminal very good an easy to spot (best i have seen).
It seems to do a background over the current rendered text but selecting the text still makes it visible that it's selected as well as highlighted.

with this it would be possible to implement such highlighting searches.

Such a weird way to ask for "search buffer" functionality.
